Wow Hendricks! Both Fitch and Hendricks came into the fight knowing both have very good wrestling… This time none was shown. Hendricks came out and landed an over hand left which knocked Fitch out and he followed up with a single punch ground and pound before the ref threw him off. It was a 12 second fight and everyone underestimated his left hand but he showed them tonight! Huge win for Hendricks.

Diaz vs Cerrone was a standup war! Nate Diaz came into the fight with close to PERFECT accuracy, landing almost every shot and combination thrown and really damaged Cerrone in the first round. Round 2 and 3 Cerrone was getting nice take downs (trips) but not capitalizing on them which in my opinion wasn’t smart. He was losing the stand up game by a long shot and I think it would have been best for him to get on top once he has taken Diaz down with his leg sweeps. Cerrone hung in there for all 3 rounds and Nate Diaz was the winner via decision.

Brock Lesnar vs Alistair Overeem! Everyone was looking forward to this fight and Overeem did what he said he was gonna do. Overeem came out and took a couple leg kicks from Lesnar but shortly after that, Lesnar was taking heavy knees and kicks to his side and stomach and he went down. Overeem then stood over him and continuously punched him in the face and stomach till the ref stopped it in round 1! After the fight ended Brock Lesnar told everyone it was his last fight, if he had won he would have fought for the title and then retired champion. He will be missed by many! Now we look forward to Junior Dos Santos vs Alistair Overeem for the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2012! Huge match and I can’t wait!
