The flyweight division is officially coming to the UFC on March 3, as Demetrious Johnson will meet Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez will face Yasuhiro Urushitani at UFC on FX 2 to determine the contenders for the UFC’s first 125-pound title, UFC President Dana White announced after UFC 140 on Saturday.
Johnson (9-2) was slated to face Eddie Wineland in January at UFC on Fox 2 after coming up short to bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz in October to snap a four-fight win streak, while McCall (11-2), known for his “Uncle Creepy” nickname, has won four-straight since losing to Cruz in the WEC in 2009.
Benavidez (15-2) also came up short to Cruz when they met last August, but has since won three-straight including an August win over Eddie Wineland. Urushitani (19-4-6) fought just once in 2011, scoring his fifth-straight win via second-round TKO in his native Japan.

These two, Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz are set to face at UFC on FOX 2. Winner will get a chance at a title shot and from what Chael has said, he’s not looking to fight Anderson Silva again. Talks about him moving either down to Welterweight to fight George St-Pierre or moving up to Light Heavyweight to fight Jon ‘Bones’ Jones.
Your thoughts on Sonnen vs Munoz and if Sonnen’s to win, him switching weight classes?

Mark Munoz is now injured and off the UFC on FOX 2 fight card. Bisping will now face off against Sonnen and Maia will face Chris Weidman.
Dana White tweeted 2 hours ago saying: “Munoz is injured and out of the FOX fight! Now it’s Chael Sonnen vs Mike Bisping jan 28th and the winner will fight Anderson for the title”.
Then just 6 minutes ago he said tweeted: “3rd fight in the FOX Jan 28th is Maia vs Undefeated Chris Weidman!!!”.

Chael Sonnen is now set to face off against Michael Bisping at UFC on FOX 2, winner will get a shot at Anderson Silva for the Middleweight championship.
Me personally, I’d like to see Sonnen win this one. I think him fighting Silva again would bring such hype and make for an amazing main-event match up. Don’t get me wrong, Silva vs Bisping would be a great fight also, but the build up and history Sonnen and Silva have make the fight that much more intense.
